Introduction to ICTV
ICTV went on the air on September 19, 1986 in the Dade County Jail in Miami, Florida. I created it and continue to run it nineteen years later. As the world's first inmate television station, it has received a lot of media attention through the years (CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, New York Times, AP, UPI, and many others).

This is a new site. Only the bare bones structure has been posted... but more will follow. Stay tuned!
ICTV was closed in early 2007 by a new "Corrections Director". It was on-the-air for 21 years. It will be remembered in a yet-to-be-produced television series and/or a major film.

Now 80 years old and retired.
Just wanted to say how amazing and impressed I was by what Sam accomplished... to bring some laughter and light and knowledge into a dark place. I live in MN and am starting with a volunteer application form. I know the end of the ICTV story ended negatively, but ALL you did is incredible in my and I am sure every person who sees what you dids' eyes.
I hope to make a difference no matter how small. Laurel Fox
